"Monday Morning Coffee"
Good morning! The weather continues to be spectacular and looks like it is going to hold for a few more days. I can't remember a fall that has lasted as long as this one or been as nice.

This weekend was Elk Fest in Estes Park and the town was again full. They had the mount of "Sampson" in Bond Park. For those of you that don't know about Sampson, he was a very famous local elk that called the YMCA of the Rockies home. He was killed by a poacher in in 1995 on the Y grounds. Kimberly (Huth) Ziegler is the one that called it in so the poacher, Randall Francis" was apprehended and went to jail for his actions.
You have seen some of my shots of elk, I've been really proud of the 7X7 that is running around town the last couple of years. Sampson was a 7X9 with a very amazing set of antlers.

I've also been posting some really nice stuff at www.MrEstesPark.wordpress.com so you might want to go there and check out the pictures. You will have to go to the bottom of the page and click on "Older Posts" to see all of the items I've done lately.
Have a wonderful week.
